Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, PNB, Axis Bank

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 1.45 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Monday.

Shares of ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.22 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.05 crore) and Vedanta (number of shares traded: 0.05 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

ICICI Bank (Rs 203.19 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 48.68 crore), YES Bank (Rs 25.15 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 21.70 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 20.92 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 19.04 crore), Bajaj Auto (Rs 14.91 crore), Havells India (Rs 14.68 crore), RIL (Rs 14.20 crore) and HDFC Bank (Rs 13.46 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 11.35 points up at 11,295.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 53.96 points at 37,936.75 around 09:17 am.

In the Nifty index, ICICI Bank (up 3.63 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.16 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 0.60 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (up 0.54 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 4.70 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 3.32 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 3.16 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 2.88 per cent) and JSW Steel (down 2.30 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
