Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Aurobindo Pharma, IRCTC

The NSE Nifty index was trading 110.95 points up at 12,103.45.
NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 8.85 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.04 crore), Aurobindo Pharma (number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.55 crore), Coal India Ltd (number of shares traded: 0.43 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore), Hathway Cable (number of shares traded: 0.28 crore), Bharti Airtel (number of shares traded: 0.27 crore) and IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Aurobindo Pharma (Rs 325.02 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd. (Rs 191.88 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 146.30 crore), Kotak Bank (Rs 121.65 crore), SBI (Rs 119.79 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 102.02 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 90.33 crore), Coal India Ltd (Rs 75.21 crore), YES Bank (Rs 70.11 crore) and Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 62.79 crore).


The NSE Nifty index was trading 110.95 points up at 12,103.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 372.81 points at 41,267.19 around 09:28 am.

In the Nifty index, Bharti Infratel (up 5.95 per cent), NTPC (up 3.15 per cent), Coal India (up 3.00 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.91 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 1.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While YES Bank (down 2 per cent), Britannia Industries (down 0.53 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.22 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 0.06 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.20 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
