Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, SBI, RIL, HDFC

The NSE Nifty index was trading 52.15 points up at 8370.0 
NEW DELHI: JP Power with over 3.16 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.22 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore), NTPC (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore), Jaypee Infra (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore), Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore) and Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE. RIL (Rs 65.02 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed HDFC (Rs 59.65 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 44.83 crore), SBI (Rs 41.01 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 30.94 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 27.41 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 26.79 crore), TCS (Rs 24.63 crore), Infosys (Rs 21.92 crore) and IndusInd Bank (Rs 18.45 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 52.15 points up at 8370.0 , while BSE Sensex was up 237.48 points at 28773.26 around 09:18 am.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank (up 6.22 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 5.39 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 4.07 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 3.84 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 3.69 per cent) stood among top gainers.

While Grasim Industries (down 3.27 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 3.13 per cent), JSW Steel (down 1.98 per cent), Nestle India (down 1.64 per cent) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 1.59 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
