Kesar Terminals zooms as board considers bonus issue

NEW DELHI: Shares of Kesar Terminals closed 12.97 per cent higher on Tuesday after the company informed the exchanges that its board will meet on Friday to consider a share buyback proposal.

In a regulatory filing to BSE, the company said, “A meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on June 24, 2016, inter alia, to consider the issue of bonus shares.”

Following the development, the stock surged 17.7 per cent to hit a high of Rs 534.50 on BSE.

The company reported a 66.12 per cent YoY rise in net profit at Rs 4.21 crore for March quarter on a 3.98 per cent YoY rise in net sales to Rs 11.02 crore. The company is engaged with logistic activity.

Analysts said the commerce ministry recently announced steps to boost exports.
