    Market now: Britannia, Emami among top gainers in FMCG stocks; ITC down

    The NSE Nifty FMCG was trading 0.21 per cent down at 26346.4 around 10:29 AM (IST) on Monday.

    Shares of United Spirits Ltd. (up 4.82 ), United Breweries Ltd. (up 2.35 ), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 1.88 ), Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. (up 1.42 ), Emami Ltd. (up 1.03 ) were among top gainers, while ITC Ltd. (down 1.17 ), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd. (down 0.37 ), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. (down 0.02 ), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.02 ) and Marico Ltd. (down 0.40 ) were among top losers in the index at around the same time.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.45 points at 9666.95.

    Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 33 were trading in green, while 17 were in red.

    Shares of Titan Co., Vedanta Ltd, Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank, Hindalco Inds. were among most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange on Monday.

    The BSE Sensex was up 5.42 points at 31278.71 at around the same time.
    Shares of Titan, Swelect Energy, Balaji Telefilms, V Mart Retail, MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade, while Shekhawati Poly, Urja Global, Nitin Fire Prot, Prakash Steel, Videocon Industries hit fresh 52-week low in trade.

    Traders were seen piling up positions in gems and jewellery, beverages, leather, consumer durables, retail sectors. However, selling were visible in transport, aquaculture, packaging and rubber sectors.
