Market now: Hindustan Unilever, HDFC hit 52 week high; Nifty down on profit booking

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 42.65 points down at 9395.60 on Tuesday morning on account of profit booking by investors.

Shares of Kesar Enterprises, Lakshmi Finance, Eimco Elecon, Hindustan Unilever, Brigade Enterprises, HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd., SKIL Infra, HOV Services, LT Foods, Subros and Websol Energy hit their fresh 52-week high during the morning trade on NSE.

On the other hand, stocks such as Videocon Industries, Shekhawati Poly, PSL Ltd, Tera Software, Bhandari Hosiery, Blue Blends, IOL Chemicals, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., Green Fire Agri Commodities Ltd, Reliance Communications and Aurobindo Pharma touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 17 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 34 were trading in red around 10.15 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, HCL Tech, HDFC, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel were among top gainers.
However, shares of GAIL, Sun Pharma, Aurobindo Pharma, Cipla, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Bajaj Auto were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 120.92 points down at 30450.05.

Traders were seen piling up position in personal care, IT, food processing, gems and jewellery, tobacco and infrastructure, while selling were visible in aquaculture, glass, packaging, transport, textiles, mining and steel sectors.
