The domestic equity market turned rangebound on Monday with shares of Reliance Communication and Tech Mahindra hitting their fresh 52-week low.

Sun Pharma, Northgate Com, Zicom Elec, MBL Infra, Nitin Fire Prot, Bafna Pharma, Guj NRE Coke, Sathavahana Isp, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., Hindustan Dorr, Mandhana Inds, Videocon Ind, Shilpi Cable Tec, Urja Global, Prakash Steel, Karuturi Global, Khaitan Elect and Chromatic India were other stocks that touched their fresh 52-week low.

However, Shares of Savita Oil Tech, PC Jewellers Premier Exp, Maan Aluminium, Siyaram Silk, Kesar Enterpr, Visaka Ind, Swelect Energy, Navneet Edu, Lakshmi Finance, KIOCL, Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers, Sunteck Realty, Kamdhenu Ispat, Time Techno, Arihant Superst, Finolex Inds, Shakti Pumps Rane Holdings and Hind. Unilever were stocks that hit their new 52-week high during the trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 1.80 points up at 9593.30 with 24 constituents trading in green, out of the total 50.

In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, ITC, Ibull HousingFin, Bharti Infratel, Maruti Suzuki, PowerGrid, Zee Ent., IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddys Labs, RIL and Larsen & Toubro were among top gainers.

Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports SEZ, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Wipro, Axis Bank, GAIL, Indian Oil Corp, Tata Motors, SBI, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 36.25 points up at 31064.46.

Traders were seen piling up position in Gems and Jewellery, Tobacco, Personal Care, Infrastructure, Paints and Pigments, Petrochemicals, Food Processing, Finance, Beverages - Non-Alcoholic, Petroleum, Retail, Power, Information Technology, Electronics, Leather, Auto Ancillaries, Shipping, Telecommunications, Cement, Service, Beverages - Alcoholic, Cables, Metals - Non Ferrous, Consumer Durables, Electric Equipment, Paper, Miscellaneous, Construction, Hospitality and Automobilies sectors.

However, selling was visible in Aquaculture, Glass, Packaging, Transport, Rubber, Agriculture, Engineering, Textiles, Equipments, Mining, Plastics, Auto, Banks, Edible Fat, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Iron and Steel, Fertilisers, Tyres, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and health care, Automobilies, Hospitality, Construction, Miscellaneous, Paper, Electric Equipment, Consumer Durables, Metals - Non Ferrous and Cables sectors.
