Market Now: Stocks that hit fresh 52-week high despite choppy trade

The NSE Nifty was trading flat at 9600 in Thursday's afternoon session.

However, Shares of Renaissance Jew, Kalyani Invst, Time Techno., Global Vectra, Maan Aluminium, Phoenix Lamps, Vakrangee Soft. Ltd., Future Lifestyle, Hitachi Home, KEC Int. Ltd, Sharda Motor, Keynote Corp, KIOCL Ltd., Adani Transmission Ltd., Birla Corp., Voltas, Antarctica Ltd, Visaka Ind, Kaveri Seed Co and Laurus Labs Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high during the trade on NSE.

On the other hand, stocks such as Value Inds, Northgate Com, SITI Cable Net, United Nilgiri, Shyam Telecom, Shilpi Cable Tec, PAE Ltd, Videocon Ind, DS Kulkarni Dev, Global Offshore, Usher Agro, Khaitan Elect, Hindustan Dorr, ANG Industries, Kesar Terminals, Motor Gen Fin, SRS Ltd, PSL Ltd, BS Ltd and DIC India Ltd touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 26 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 25 were trading in red during the afternoon trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 35.11 points down at 31110.69. Traders were seen piling up position in Retail, Personal Care, Electronics, Tyres, Shipping, Tobacco, Gems and Jewellery, Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Food Processing, Information Technology, Power, Finance, Pharmaceuticals and health care sectors.

Meanwhile, selling were visible in Aquaculture, Glass, Packaging, Transport, Rubber, Engineering, Agriculture/Horticulture/Lives, Mining, Textiles, Banks, Edible Fat, Auto, Plastics, Iron and Steel, Chemicals, Automobilies, Miscellaneous and Paper sectors.
