Market Now: Stocks that surged over 7%

Domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, were trading in green on Wednesday afternoon around 2.55 pm (IST) on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Sharda Motor surged 20 per cent followed by Jindal Pol Film (up 15.29 per cent) and Suprajit Engg (up 12.42 per cent) on NSE around the same time.

Transport Corp (up 11.36 per cent), United Spirits (up 9.49 per cent), Uttam Value Stl (up 9.09 per cent), Kwality Ltd (up 8.81 per cent), Phoenix Lamps (up 8.74 per cent), Ramco Ind (up 8.50 per cent), M&M Financial (up 7.98 per cent), Bharat Rasayan (up 7.63 per cent), Future Lifestyle (up 7.59 per cent), Oriental Carbon (up 7.39 per cent) and GSFC (up 7.15 per cent) were among other stocks that surged over 7 per cent.

The 30-share index was trading 49.21 points up at 31208.61, while the 50-share index was 10.1 points up at 9634.65.

In the Nifty50 index, 27 stocks were trading in green, while 24 stocks were in red.

Stocks such as Goa Carbons, Suprajit Engg, Phoenix Lamps, Maan Aluminium, Hitachi Home, Jamna Auto, Kamdhenu Ispat, Time Techno., Dollar Industries , PSP Projects , KIOCL , Keynote Corp, Vinati Organics, Adani Transmission , Indiabulls Ventures, KEC Int. Ltd, Minda Ind, Ibull HousingFin, Apar Industries, Escorts hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade.

Meanwhile, FCS Software, Intense Tech, Nitin Fire Prot, Zicom Elec, Ponni Sugars, Green Fire Agri, AXISCADES Engg, Shyam Telecom, Sujana Towers, GOL Offshore, Hanung Toys, Educomp Sols., Global Offshore, Khaitan Elect, Videocon Ind, Shilpi Cable Tec, Mandhana Inds., Hindustan Dorr, Usher Agro and SRS touched their new 52-week low in trade.
