Market Now: These stocks crack over 10% on Thursday

IT, metal and realty stocks witnessed some buying interest.|

NEW DELHI: Shares of LCC Infotech (down 20 per cent), Natco Pharma (down 14.59 per cent), Nakoda (down 14.29 per cent), Sujana Metal (down 13.89 per cent), Inox Wind (down 11.18 per cent), Aarvee Denims (down 10.62 per cent) and Sanghvi Movers (down 10.35 per cent) cracked over 10 per cent on NSE in Thursday's trade as domestic equity markets remained subdued due to weak global cues amid escalating tension between the US and North Korea.

Stocks such as GTL Infra (down 9.93 per cent), SAL Steel (down 7.86 per cent), Maan Aluminium (down 7.67 per cent), Symphony (down 7.61 per cent), Tata Motors (down 7.45 per cent), Jet Airways (down 6.64 per cent) and Bank of India (down 6.41 per cent) also fell significantly.

Continuous selling in bank, auto, FMCG and IT stocks coupled with weak global cues kept the bourses on tenterhook.

Nifty Auto index fell over 2 per cent with shares of Tata Motors (down 7.75 per cent) cracking up to 8 per cent.

The index was trading at 10,680 down 2.25 per cent around 1.30 pm (IST).

Only Bharat Forge (up 0.66 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.49 per cent) were trading in green in the index around that time.

Benchmark Nifty and Sensex pared losses to some extent, however, were still in red.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was trading 54 points lower at 9,854, while the 30-share Sensex was 153 points down at 31,645 around 1.30 pm (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 18 stocks were trading in green, while 33 stocks were in red.
