    The domestic equity market was trading marginally higher in Thursday's trading session with NSE Nifty up 8.7 points and BSE Sensex up by 57.76 points.

    Northgate Com, Value Inds, Shilpi Cable Tec, Videocon Ind, DS Kulkarni Dev, Global Offshore, Usher Agro, Mandhana Inds., Khaitan Elect, SRS Ltd, Allied Digital, BS Ltd, Kesar Terminals, ANG Industries, DIC India Ltd, Tera Software, DFM Foods, Persistent Sys, Blue Blends and Prakash Steel touched their new 52-week low.

    On the other hand, Phoenix Lamps, Sharda Motor, Future Lifestyle, Hitachi Home, KIOCL Ltd., Adani Transmission Ltd., Voltas, India Glycols, TCI Express Ltd., KEC Int. Ltd, Mahindra Holiday, Vakrangee Soft. Ltd., Kaveri Seed Co, Antarctica Ltd, Time Techno., Lakshmi Machine, Siyaram Silk, Bodal Chemicals, Avanti Feeds and Hind. Unilever stocks hit their fresh 52-week high today.

    Traders were seen piling up position in Electronics, Equipments, Retail, Tobacco, Shipping, Personal Care, Infrastructure, Gems and Jewellery, Petrochemicals, Tyres, Pharmaceuticals and health care, Power, Information Technology, Hospitality, Telecommunications, Cables and Construction sectors.

    On the other hand, selling were visible in Aquaculture, Glass, Packaging, Transport, Rubber, Engineering, Agriculture/Horticulture/Lives, Information Technology, Mining, Textiles, Banks, Plastics, Edible Fat, Auto, Chemicals, Tea / Coffee, Iron and Steel and Sugar sectors.

    In the BSE 500 index, 341 stocks advanced in the morning trade today, while 149 numbers of stocks remained in the grip of bears.
