Nifty watch: RIL, Yes Bank, BPCL among most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: As investors continued buying stocks on Dalal Street, Reliance Industries, Yes Bank, and BPCL were among the most active stocks in terms of value on the NSE on Tuesday.

Shares of RIL (Rs 402.57 crore), Yes Bank (Rs 157.28 crore), BPCL (Rs 131.29 crore), Ibull Housing Fin (Rs 131.18 crore), Infosys (Rs 117.81 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 116.94 crore), United Spirits (Rs 114.03 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 107.02 crore), Grasim Inds. (Rs 99.93 crore), SBI (Rs 94.38 crore), ITC (Rs 91.30 crore) and Tata Steel (Rs 91.01 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in the morning trade.

The NSE Nifty index was up 49.50 points at 9,230.95 around 11.15 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Zee Entertainment (down 1.78 per cent), NTPC (down 1.11 per cent), Tata Steel (down 0.91 per cent), M&M (down 0.69 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 0.54 per cent), Cipla (down 0.53 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 0.36 per cent), Hind. Unilever (down 0.29 per cent), HCL Tech (down 0.25 per cent), Hindalco Inds. (down 0.18 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.18 per cent) and Grasim Inds. (down 0.18 per cent) were trading in the red.

On the other hand, Tata Power (up 3.33 per cent), ITC (up 1.83 per cent), Infosys (up 1.50 per cent), BPCL (up 1.20 per cent), Yes Bank (up 1.15 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.06 per cent), HDFC (up 0.99 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.94 per cent), Wipro (up 0.89 per cent), Asian Paints (up 0.88 per cent), ONGC (up 0.83 per cent) and TCS (up 0.81 per cent) were trading in green.

Most active stocks in terms of value help investors identify stocks with the highest trading turnover during the day.

Shares of Muthoot Capital, Ind Swift Ltd, Sterling Bio, N R Agarwal Ind, Jindal Worldwide, Manaksia Steels Ltd., Agri-Tech (India), Aditya Birla Money, Kopran Ltd, Archies Ltd, Goldiam Intnl, and Grindwell Norton touched their fresh 52-week high during the day.

On the other hand G M Breweries, Persistent Systems, Shekhawati Poly, Rasoya Proteins, VKS Projects, FCS Software, and Farmax India hit their new 52-week low.
