Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 108.75 points up at 12,216.65
NEW DELHI: Around 43 stocks rose to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Wednesday's session.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were Adani Enterprises, AGC Networks, Albert David, Asian Paints, Atul, Dabur India, Divi's Laboratories, FDC, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, HCL Technologies, Honeywell Automation, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Nippon Life India Asset Management, PVR,Tata Elxsi, TIPS Industries and Unitech.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 108.75 points up at 12,216.65 while the BSE Sensex was trading 400.62 points up at 41,616.76.

Overall, 42 shares were trading in the green in Nifty50 index, while 8 were trading in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hind. Unilever, HDFC, Nestle India, Vedanta , Wipro, JSW Steel, NTPC, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel were among the top gainers.

While YES Bank, GAIL, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Infratel, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Coal India Ltd, Indian Oil Corp, ONGC and UPL were trading in the red.
