Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; BHEL falls 3%

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 3.40 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 3.26 per cent), Havells India (down 2.80 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (down 1.94 per cent) were trading lower.

HEG (down 1.89 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 1.50 per cent), Grindwell Norton (down 1.47 per cent) and Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 1.23 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.58 per cent down at 16,750.95 around 12:21 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 55.75 points at 10,961.25 while the BSE Sensex was down 150.09 points at 37,177.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NMDC, Tata Motors, Dish TV India, IDBI Bank, BHEL, NBCC, SAIL and NCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
