Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index dips; Havells down over 2%

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.79 per cent down at 17,650.66 around 11:53 am.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Schaeffler India (down 4.19 per cent), Havells India (down 2.77 per cent), Siemens (down 2.58 per cent) and VGuard Industries (down 2.41 per cent) were trading in the red.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 2.35 per cent), Grindwell Norton (down 2.32 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 1.98 per cent) and NBCC (India) (down 1.98 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.79 per cent down at 17,650.66 around 11:53 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 84.80 points at 11,246.25 while the BSE Sensex was down 227.94 points at 37,754.80.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PFC, Dish TV India, IDBI Bank, M&M Financial, Ashok Leyland, PNB, Spicejet and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
