Share market update: BSE Oil & Gas index up; Petronet LNG rises 1%

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.91 per cent up at 14618.16 .

NEW DELHI: The BSE Oil & Gas index was trading in the green in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Petronet LNG (up 1.74 per cent) , Reliance Industries (up 1.73 per cent) , Castrol India (up 1.47 per cent) , Indraprastha Gas (up 1.18 per cent) , Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.12 per cent) , GAIL (India) (up 0.68 per cent) , Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.59 per cent) and HPCL (up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.13 per cent) and Gujarat State Petronet (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.91 per cent up at 14618.16 around 10:48 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 125.75 points at 12118.8 , while the BSE Sensex was up 428.69 points at 41105.32 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Welspun India, YES Bank, TV18 Broadcast, SAIL, GMR Infra, ITI Ltd, Bank of Baroda, SBI and HDFC Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
