    Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; Bharti Infratel climbs 5%

    NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session.

    Shares of (up 4.85 per cent) , (up 4.12 per cent) , OnMobile Global (up 3.5 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (up 0.65 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (up 0.56 per cent) , GTPL Hathway (up 0.3 per cent) and Aksh Optifibre (up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    While Optiemus Infracom (down 4.91 per cent) , Vodafone Idea (down 2.46 per cent) , Tejas Network (down 1.38 per cent) , Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (down 1.25 per cent) and HFCL (down 0.8 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

    The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 1.15 per cent up at 1118.56 around 11:01 am.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.30 points at 12,009.10, while the BSE Sensex was down 28.22 points at 40,751.37.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

    Shares of YES Bank, JSPL, L&T Fin Holding, PFC, Petronet LNG, Bank of Baroda, Zee Ent. and NCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
