Shares of TCS, ITC and Infosys surge in value

The markets reacted positively to India Meteorological Department's(IMD) forecast of better monsoon and healthy buying in consumer durables, healthcare and automobiles sector.

Shares of TCS (Rs 470.28 crore), Cadila Health (Rs 405.00 crore), Infosys (Rs 398.87 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 265.47 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 264.69 crore), ITC (Rs 230.41 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 224.51 crore), RIL (Rs 200.47 crore), HCL Tech (Rs 200.15 crore), Titan Co. (Rs 193.55 crore), M&M (Rs 182.40 crore), YES Bank (Rs 177.22 crore), Hind. Unilever (Rs 176.94 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 171.11 crore), SBI (Rs 169.89 crore), Sun Pharma (Rs 166.35 crore), HDFC (Rs 145.09 crore), Aurobindo Pharm (Rs 140.83 crore), Divis Lab (Rs 140.66 crore) and Ibull HousingFin (Rs 130.98 crore) stood among most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Wednesday at 2:07 PM (IST).

The NSE Nifty was trading at 9,642.60, up 0.06 per cent around the same time.

In the Nifty 50 index, TCS (down 3.90 per cent), Wipro (down 3.26 per cent), Infosys (down 2.99 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 2.95 per cent), BPCL (down 1.59 per cent), HCL Tech (down 1.21 per cent), Ibull HousingFin (down 1.05 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.95 per cent), YES Bank (down 0.78 per cent), HDFC (down 0.49 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 0.40 per cent), NTPC (down 0.28 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.19 per cent), Zee Ent. (down 0.13 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.11 per cent), ACC (down 0.08 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (down 0.09 per cent), Dr Reddys Labs (down 0.13 per cent), Kotak Bank (down 0.14 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 0.14 per cent), Tata Steel (down 0.14 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.23 per cent), PowerGrid (down 0.27 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 0.29 per cent) and Tata Power (down 0.38 per cent) and stood among top losers.

Most Active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

During the day Emkay Global, Future Retail, Venkys (India), Shakti Pumps, IIFL Holdings, Emami Infra, Simplex Infra, Cadila Health, Centum Elec, Geo BNP Paribas, Edelweiss Fin, MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd., SPML Infra, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd., Info Edge, Can Fin Homes, PSP Projects Ltd., JHS Svendgaard, Honeywell Auto and Bharat Bijlee are the stocks which touched their fresh 52 week high.

On the other hand DQ Entertainment, Green Fire Agri, High Ground Ent, Videocon Ind, Shilpi Cable Tec, Guj NRE Coke, Khaitan Elect, Nitin Fire Prot, Hind Nat Glass, LGB Forge, Signet Ind, Hindustan Dorr, Kanani Inds, Ortel Communications Ltd., DFM Foods, Syncom Health, Firstsource Sol, GOL Offshore, SITI Cable Net and KSS Ltd stocks hit their new 52 week low levels during the day.
