Domestic benchmark indices today snapped four days of losses to register solid gains on the eve of the October F&O expiry as lower crude prices and a stronger rupee cheered. The BSE Sensex reclaimed the 34,000 mark as it jumped 186.73 points, or 0.55 per cent, to settle at 34,034. The NSE Nifty closed the day up 77.95 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 10,225.
