    COVID-19 deaths under-reported in Chennai, officials admit; authorities to probe discrepancy

    A show-cause notice has been issued to hospitals after 236 COVID-19 deaths were not reported by the Tamil Nadu government. According to a report by TOI, at least 460 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Chennai till June 8 which is more than double the 224 announced by the directorate of public health (DPH).
