Yielding to pressure, US President Donald Trump was finally seen wearing a face mask in public for the first time since the pandemic took over the country.
President Trump has been avoiding wearing a mask, regardless of many virus cases in the White House and experts urging citizens to wear a mask when out in public. It was only after the WHO urged nations to step up their measures in an effort to control the pandemic that Trump was seen wearing a mask with the presidential seal while he visited wounded military veterans at a hospital outside Washington.
Elections near, deaths hike
With the 2020 elections closing in, Democrat Joe Biden is leading the race as more and more Americans are unhappy about how Trump has been handling the health crisis. That hasnt stopped him from praising his own ability of handling the pandemic, even though on Saturday the death toll hit 135,000.
Places like Florida, which has been one of the worst-hit places in America have partially opened the Walt Disney World theme park after four months. But experts warned days earlier that reopening before meeting all the criteria wouldnt be safe.
Covid takes over
The US is the worst hit country right now, followed by Brazil. The WHO has called for natins to aggressively tackle the virus. Australia reduced te number of people allowed to return from overseas, while Hong Kong faces a setback after rising cases when they had just gone back to their normal routine.
