European think-tank lauded India’s action against COVID-19 outbreak. European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS) said 21-day lockdown was not easy but was a crucial step. It added that Indian government was wise to take quick actions to stop the spread. PM Modi's initiative in calling for and organizing a video conference of SAARC leaders was also welcomed. EFSAS criticised Pakistan for politicising the event. There were 164,278 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, 101,739 in Italy 81,518 in China. However, India had reported 1,251positive cases. EFSAS believes proactive measures taken by India helps control the spread of the deadly virus.
