A day after 45 of the newly-elected 61 members of the Rajya Sabha took oath, Naidu appointed them as members of the parliamentary committees. BJP member Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will head the HRD standing committee. He will replace outgoing member Satyanarain Jatiya. Former Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha Harivansh will be a member of the Agriculture committee and former Deputy Speaker Thambidurai will be in HRD.
