Coronavirus cases in India: State-wise break up of confirmed coronavirus cases

India, which reported its first coronavirus case on January 30 this year, has seen a steady increase in number of Covid-19 infections. The number of cases has now gone to 2,902. Maharashtra has maximum number of coronavirus cases followed by Delhi.

Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19 cases in India have doubled in the last couple of days and now are well over 2000. According to latest figures from the Ministry of Health, there are 2,902 total number of COVID-19 cases as of April 4, of which 2,650 are active cases, 183 persons have been cured and discharged, and 68 have died.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on March 24th, announced a 21-day complete lockdown to fight the outbreak.

The Union Health ministry has urged people to contact their emergency helpline number - +91-11-23978046 - for all queries and assistance on coronavirus which has now been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. You can also email your query/complaint to "ncov2019@gmail.com".

India's first case was reported on January 30 in Kerala.
