OIC statement on Delhi violence is inaccurate, misleading: MEA
At a press briefing today, the Ministry of External Affairs termed the statements made by OIC (The Organization of Islamic Cooperation) nations as irresponsible and inaccurate. MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar in his reply said India was taking all measures to contain the violence and restore normalcy.

The OIC had said in its statement that it "condemns the recent and alarming violence against Muslims in India, resulting in the death and injury of innocent people and the arson and vandalism of mosques and Muslim-owned properties."

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has made insensitive comments in the past also and has tried to comment on India's internal affairs, Kumar added.

"The statements which have come out of OIC are factually inaccurate, they are selective, they are misleading. There is an effort on the ground, to restore normalcy, to create confidence," Kumar said.

Violence had erupted in North-East Delhi after clashes between pro and anti-CAA protesters last Sunday, which sparked three days of communal riots that led to the death of more than 30 people.
