“We are mulling a mechanism in consultation with state governments to identify such ‘unworthy’ beneficiaries. We have already tied up with income tax department to nail taxpayers who have received the benefits,” said a senior agriculture ministry official.
He said that it has come to government’s notice that many state and central government’s serving and retired employees are getting benefits of PM-KISAN.
“We have written to Public Financial Management System (PFMS) under the finance ministry to share data of central government employees. We can then match the data with PM-KISAN list of beneficiaries to identify such central government salaried employees who are getting benefited. We will write to state governments also,” he said.
The agriculture department recently worked out an arrangement with the income tax department to check if any of the beneficiaries of the PM-KISAN scheme were in the list of income tax payers.
The PM-KISAN scheme, which gives farmers Rs 6,000 annually in three equal instalments, has excluded income tax payees, retired and serving government employees other than Group D, professionals like doctors, lawyers and chartered accountants, public representatives like serving and former parliamentarians and other people from higher economic status.

So govt retired and service official are corrupted to shippon off the public money. We private sector employees after retirement do not get any support either pension , even our hard earned deposit is not bearing any interest to us. Rather govt is distributing such deposit as interest free loan to defaulter who do not pay back. All in justice to senior citizen by Modi govt. they will be defeated in next election, as god is there to protect senior citizen
