As per my information, there was no deal between the BJP and the Shiv Sena over equal sharing of portfolios in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile right-wing leader Sambhaji Bhide, who is reportedly trying to work out a truce between the two warring saffron allies, has gone to meet CM Fadnavis at his residence Varsha.
There is some action going on at the Sena Bhavan. Uddhav Thackeray is meeting his party's district chiefs. TV reports say they may even take the decision that they should leave NDA if talks with BJP fails.

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has alleged that sums of "Rs 25 crore to Rs 50 crore" were being offered to MLAs to switch sides in Maharashtra. He claimed Congress MLAs, too, have been contacted over the phone with such offers. The Leader of Opposition in the outgoing Assembly said the Shiv Sena has claimed one of its MLAs was offered Rs 50 crore to switch sides. "Our MLAs are also being contacted. Attempts are being made to lure away MLAs with offers of Rs 25 to Rs 50 crore," he alleged.
However, the BJP has denied allegations it was trying to wean away MLAs from other parties.

The NCP has accused the BJP of pushing the state towards President's rule and wanting to run it through Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA constituent's chief Amit Shah. NCP chief spokesperson Nawab Malik tweeted that the people of Maharashtra will not tolerate this "insult" of the state. "The BJP wants to run Maharashtra through Modi and Shah from Delhi by pushing the state towards President's rule. People will not tolerate this insultof Maharashtra.It has been a history that Maharashtra doesn't bow before the throne of Delhi. Jai Maharashtra," Malik tweeted.

To a question on Union minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari's trip to Mumbai and possibility of him visiting 'Matoshree' (the residence of Thackerays) to break the logam over government formation, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said the BJP should approach the Sena only if it is willing to share the CM post."Gadkari is a resident of Mumbai. It is no news that he is coming. He will go to his house. Has he told you that he is bringing a letter giving the Sena 2.5 years of chief ministership?" he asked

Yesterday late at night Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray met Shiv Sena MLAs at the Mumbai hotel where they are put up. Aditya arrived at Hotel Rangsharda late in the night and stayed there till about 1 am.
State Congress president Balasaheb Thorat and other senior leaders will be present at the meeting which will take place after 10.30 am. All the 44 Congress MLAs are expected to attend.
