“The special teams under the (district) Collectors have identified these persons who came in contact with these persons, and they are shifted to the hospitals,” said the Telangana CMO in a statement. “They were tested and treated.”
The two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have pressed into action hundreds of their surveillance teams after concluding that over a dozen tested positive for Covid-19 including six dead were among the family members of those participated in Delhi prayers. Those returned from Delhi prayers were learnt to have participated in prayers at dozens of religious places and social gatherings spread across Telangana and AP over the last fortnight.
“Since those participated in Markaz prayers were inflicted with Corona, all those participated in the prayers should inform the officials concerned,” said the Telangana CMO release.
The two Telugu states are apprehensive that there could be a spike in the Covid-19 cases with large contact within the community. The two governments are trying to trace all those who came in contact with the Delhi prayer participants as well as with a team of religious clerics from Indonesia who had participated in prayers at several religious places in Telangana.
Assuring that the “government would conduct tests and offer treatment to them free of cost,” the Telangana CMO on Monday night has urged “all those, who went for the Markaz prayers in Delhi should inform the authorities.”
Further, the government has appealed to public at large seeking information about those who participated in Markaz prayers in Delhi or those who had contact with them after their return from Delhi. “Anyone who has information about them should alert the government,” the Telangana Medical and Health Department appealed in a statement.
Telangana, which has 5,274 surveillance teams and 78 inspection teams in all across the state to contain Covid-19 outbreak, has pressed hundreds of its surveillance teams into action to trace and take into control all those who returned from Delhi prayers. Efforts are on to locate those came in contact with them to shift for tests and isolation/ quarantine at various hospitals.
A top Andhra government official associated with the chief minister’s office said their surveillance teams had already located and isolated hundreds of persons who came in contact with a Covid-19 positive person who had participated in Delhi prayers. Hundreds of households in the radius of around 3km from the Corona positive person’s house were seized for complete lockdown and tests were being conducted on all the suspects to shift them to isolation wards.
The official regular Covid-19 bulletins that the AP government issued have confirmed that P14 and P15 had got in contact with P10, who had participated in Delhi prayers.

I remember Saheenbagh protestors who were instigated by Harsh Mandher, Yogendra Yadav and others to continue their sittings with hand sanitizers. Government was reluctant to take action, being afraid of allegations of muslims being harrassed. Where are our "liberals, human rightists " and other Khan market creatures.
I am waiting to hear them complaining discretionary medical treatment if muslims.

Dangerous trend by this group . Their irresponsible behaviour will cost their families, themselves and the society a lots in terms of human loss. If only they had heeded to the Government's warnings.
