A day after India's maiden attempt to become the first nation to soft land a robotic spacecraft at the moon's South Pole was unsuccessful after communication with the Chandrayaan- 2 lander was lost, the Indian Space Research Organisation in a statement today described the mission and explained the various technological aspects attached to the mission. "The success criteria was defined for each and every phase of the mission and till date 90 to 95% of the mission objectives have been accomplished and will continue contribute to Lunar science , notwithstanding the loss of communication with the Lander," said ISRO in a statement.
