Synopsis

Google pulled down Paytm for promoting fantasy-gaming apps. While no-gambling rules prevail in India, Google itself has not been consistent with its policies. It is still a grey area, which started a heated debate on social media. So, when exactly does a product-feature end up flouting rules? The lines are hazy and there is still no consensus.

The fight between Apple and Epic Games opened a can of worms. The tech giant took the company’s popular game, Fortnite, out of its app store for bypassing Apple and taking money directly from consumers to its own payments system in the app. Fortnite, on the back of its massive following and the owner’s clout, had the heft to take on Apple.
