Microsoft demos Windows Phone 8 devices coming to India

A couple of days ago, Microsoft officially launched its Windows Phone 8 which is the latest smartphone operating system from the company.

The company also demoed some of the Windows Phone 8 based devices in India and these included the HTC 8X, HTX 8S, Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and the Samsung ATIV S. It seems that all these smartphones will hit the market before the end of this year.

Here's a hands-on look at them.

Samsung ATIV S

Samsung ATIV S

So far the Samsung ATIV S is likely to be the only Windows Phone 8 based device which does not come in different colors.

It sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 306 ppi pixel density and is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

If you are looking for a Windows Phone 8 device which has a much corporate look and feel, then currently this is your best option.

Nokia Lumia 920

Nokia Lumia 920

This is the highly anticipated Lumia 920 from Nokia which is expected to launch in India sometime in the month of November. It features wireless charging and will come in different color options.

The device has a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display and is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It also sports an 8 megpaixel rear camera based on the PureView technology.

The HTC 8X is another device which will be avialable in different colors.

It is a Windows Phone 8 based device which is also powered by dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

It sports a 4.3-inch S-LCD2 display with 342 ppi pixel density. This might be one of the first high-end Windows Phone 8 based device to hit the markets.

A slightly affordable Windows phone 8 based device from Nokia which is powered by the same processor as the Lumia 920 but does not feature built-in wireless charging.

It has a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, an 8 megapixel camera without the PureView branding and comes in different colors, has a wireless charging back panel which is purchased seperately and will hit the market along with the Lumia 920.

HTC 8S with dual-core Qualcom

This HTC 8S has dual-core Qualcom Snapdragon S4 processor which is clocked at 1GHz, a 4-inch S-LCD display, 4GB of built-in storage with expandable up to 32GB cvia a microSD card, it will come in different colors and will be hopefully launched with the HTC 8X.
