Freyr Energy raises Rs 27 crore in Series-A funding

The company said the investment was primarily a mix of equity and debt and the latest round was led by C4D Partners, a Netherlands-based Impact Investment Fund.

HYDERABAD: Freyr Energy, a Hyderabad-based rooftop solar company, said that it has raised an investment of Rs 27 crore in Series-A funding.

In a statement, the company said the investment was primarily a mix of equity and debt and the latest round was led by C4D Partners, a Netherlands-based Impact Investment Fund.

The firm had last year secured seed funding from Doen-Participaties, another Netherlands-based investment company.

The company, which claims to have recorded a 16X growth in revenue in the past four years and has been profitable for the past two years, currently has over 1,000 installations across 18 states in India and a customer base in the US, Nigeria and Ghana.
