MyGate, a security and community management solution for gated communities, has appointed Praveen Boda as head of finance and compliance, and Diwesh Sahai as head of technology. Mansur Nazimuddin has been appointed head of products.

These key hires come as the company embarks on an aggressive expansion drive to grow to 15 million homes across 40 cities in the next 18 months, and the announcements come a month after the company raised a Series B round of $56 million from Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings, US-based JS Capital, Tiger Global Management, alongside existing investor, Prime Venture Partners.

Boda will be responsible for all finance and legal aspects at MyGate. He brings with him over 18 years of rich corporate finance experience with successful stints at blue-chip companies, including NVIDIA Graphics, Microsoft and Qualcomm. He has also held key positions at Reliance Jio in the past.

Sahai is a seasoned technology leader with vast experience in high-scale technology environments such as Amazon and Expedia. He would be responsible for driving the engineering efforts and will be working with co-founder and CTO Shreyans Daga. In his last role, he was head of payments engineering at Reliance Jio.

Nazimuddin will drive the product and design charter. Prior to joining the company, he was spearheading product management for the EasyDay Club product vertical at Tathastu, the consumer and digital labs of Future Group, and has also held senior product management roles at Commonfloor.com and Hubzu. Over the next few months, a key focus area for Sahai and Nazimuddin will be the expansion of the engineering and product teams.

The startup has over 700 employees spread across all of India’s metros, and is looking to triple its workforce over the near term to power its aggressive growth plans. It has raised a total of $67.5 million till date.

“Everything we build must be geared for scale and capable of withstanding a frenetic pace of growth. Diwesh, Mansur and Praveen will help us ensure that we continue to deliver the same splendid experience to our customers and all other stakeholders as we move on to the next phase in our journey of enhancing security and convenience for Indian homes,” said Vijay Arisetty, CEO and co-founder, MyGate.
