Reliance Digital launches quad-core 3G smartphone 'Reconnect' at Rs 12,999

The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2, Jelly Bean operating system and is powered by a quad core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor.

NEW DELHI: Reliance Digital Thursday launched its new dual SIM 3G smartphone, called Reconnect Quad Core 4.7” and priced it, at Rs 12,999.

Reliance Digital is the consumer durables and information technology (CDIT) arm of Reliance Retail, a unit of Reliance Industries Ltd., which also owns telecom venture Reliance Jio Infocomm. Jio is expected to launch 4G voice and data services next year.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2, Jelly Bean operating system and is powered by a quad core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor. It features a 4.7 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and weighs just 132.8gm.

The phone is equipped with a 1GB RAM that lets users run various simultaneous applications smoothly. It comes with an internal storage of 8GB memory, which is expandable up to 32GB.

The smartphone is supported by an entire eco-system of applications including the popular social media apps, Opera Mini browser among others, the company said.

On the camera front, the device features a 13MP back camera with flash and a 2MP front camera for video calling needs. The Back Side Illumination (BSI) sensor technology delivers advanced imaging capabilities. BSI sensor enables a user to click crisp and clear pictures even in low light environment.

The device comes with 3G SIM support and has voice-calling. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

It also comes with a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery that delivers music playback time of 8 hours, 4 hours of video playback, talk-time up-to 6-7 hours and a standby time of 225 hours, the company said.

The smartphone is available in Black & White colour options and comes with a one-year warranty.
