Google partners with Dineout to enable reservations and offers for consumers via maps

Dineout said with search, users now have more actions to explore within Google Maps by discovering dining out options near them

Dineout said through the ‘Offers’ shortcut on Google maps, the service can be leveraged by Google Maps users across 15,000+ Dineout partner restaurants in 17 cities
NEW DELHI: Dining out and technology solutions platform Dineout announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Google to elevate user experiences by adding more features to their navigation engine - Google maps. Dineout said with search, users now have more actions to explore within Google Maps by discovering dining out options near them, choosing from the available offers at restaurants and also reserve a table for their preferred time and date.

Dineout said through the ‘Offers’ shortcut on Google maps, the service can be leveraged by Google Maps users across 15,000+ Dineout partner restaurants in 17 cities such as Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Indore, Lucknow, Kochi, Nagpur, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Goa.

Chandu Thota, director, Google maps two months ago the company launched 'Offers' -- an India-first feature to help people discover local deals. "Today, we'd like to welcome Dineout to this experience, which will offer even more choices for diners and merchants alike”, he added.

Dineout stated it processes more than 40 million diner and $800 million worth of transactions for its partner restaurants across its network of 40,000 restaurants in 17 cities, providing a collective savings of more than $100million on restaurant bills annually. Founded in 2012 by Ankit Mehrotra, Nikhil Bakshi, Sahil Jain and Vivek Kapoor, Dineout was acquired by Times Internet Limited in April 2014.
