Synopsis

This working group is under the larger inter-ministerial group set up by the ministry of electronics and IT (MEITY) that has been coordinating with ministries such as telecom, labour and commerce to make temporary relaxations permanent and also bring in large scale reforms to boost work from home.

NEW DELHI: In a bid to fast track not just work from home but long-term work from anywhere for the $190 billion IT and ITeS industry, the government has created a working group with five IT and ITeS companies along with representation from Nasscom and four officials from the department of telecom. The group has already met twice and is expected to convene again next week. Industry is hoping for a decision to come through soon.This working group
