"A contract for manufacture of frigates under Project P 17A was signed in February 2015 with Mazagon Dockyards Limited (MDL), Mumbai valued worth Rs 45,000 crore while two frigates under Project P1135.6 are slated to be manufactured by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) under a contract signed in October 2018 worth Rs 14,100 crore," said Defence Ministry.
Ashok Leyland sales down 22 per cent in November to 10,175 units
The company had sold 13,119 units in the same month last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement. Domestic commercial vehicle sales were down 25% at 9,377 units as against 12,570 units in the year-ago month, it added. Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market were down 36% to 5,321 units as compared to 8,260 units in November last year.

Financing arrangement likely by month-end: RIL in talks for Rs 5,000-crore loan to take over Alok Industries
RIL is in talks with State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank for financing. RIL won the right to buy Alok Industries in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code process in March this year. The Ahmedabad bench of the NCLT had approved the sole RIL bid, made together with JM Financial Asset Reconstruction Co, which had promised to pay Rs 5,050 crore to take over Alok.

Ashok Leyland joins hands with lClCl Bank for vehicle loans
The company has inked an MoU with lClCl Bank to enter into a strategic financing partnership for two years, the Hinduja group flagship said in a regulatory filing. The agreement will enable both the partners to offer customised financial solution to customers across the country with focus on semi-urban and rural geographies, it added.
