Tata Motors to add another 100 sales outlets for passenger vehicles this fiscal
"We are expanding sales network. Basically, we are getting into new locations. Idea is that per dealer sales should go up. Dealers are excited with our product range and they are willing to expand their territories by opening new outlets," Tata Motors President (Passenger Vehicles Business Unit) Mayank Pareek told PTI. There was a plan to add 200 new sales outlets this fiscal, he added.

Bajaj Auto sales marginally down to 4.03 lakh units in November
The company had sold 4,06,930 units in the same month a year-ago. Domestic sales in November this year were at 2,07,775 units as against 2,34,818 units, showing a decline of 11.5 per cent, Bajaj Auto said in a filing to BSE. Total motorcycle sales stood at 3,43,446 units, a marginal decline of 0.8 per cent, as compared to 3,46,544 units sold in November last year.

The Mercedes-Benz maker said it wanted to save 1.4 billion euros (USD 1.5 billion) in staff costs by the end of 2022 as it joins rivals in investing huge sums in the greener, smarter cars of the future. "The total number worldwide will be in the five-digits," Daimler personnel chief Wilfried Porth said in a conference call about the job cull.
Carmakers to hike prices from January to absorb input costs
Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford, Toyota, Mercedes Benz and Audi plan to raise the prices from January 2020. The carmakers told ET that the price hike has been planned to counter the inflationary pressures. The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki said the production cost has shot up because of increase in raw material prices.
