  • A new research led by the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with IIT-Bombay, has reported “unequivocal evidence” that there existed a perennial river on the plains of northwestern India which flowed roughly along the course of the modern Ghaggar. Researchers say this ancient course was that of the mythical river Saraswati.

    The bill seeks to grant Indian citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan escaping religious persecution there. The whip, asking all BJP MPs to be present in the House, has been issued, a source said.

    Export Import Bank of India entered into an agreement on April 11 with Bangladesh's Armed Forces Division for making available to the latter a Government of India-supported line of credit (LoC) of USD 500 million, the RBI said in a notification on Friday.     Seven terrorists will be hanged for the killings of 22 people including Indians in the worst terror attack Bangladesh suffered in a posh area in its capital in 2016. The victims included 17 foreigners. Judge Md Majibur Rahman of the Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal of Dhaka ordered the deaths of the terrorists by hanging.
