Bengal to skip Home Ministry meet on Census & NPR

The representatives of all states and Union territories, except West Bengal, are expected to attend the Friday’s meeting convened by the Union home ministry to discuss the modalities for the census and the National Population Register (NPR).

    There is no way a state can deny the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) when it is already passed by the Parliament, said Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Saturday, who claimed that doing so would be "unconstitutional".
