  • ONGC Petro additions (OPaL), a JV between ONGC, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation and Gail at the Dahej SEZ, is working towards getting the domestic tariff area (DTA) access to gain from the lower tax regime now. A DTA setup enables a company to set up manufacturing units that cater to the domestic market, while an SEZ unit is meant only for exports.

    The notes under the programme have been issued at a coupon rate of 3.375 per cent due in 2029.

    The time extension has been granted by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) due to delay in operationalisation of long-term access by the central transmission utility, Inox Wind said in a regulatory filing to BSE. Inox Wind is a player in the wind energy market with three manufacturing plants in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

    According to the plan, all regular and permanent employees of BSNL, who attended the age of 50 years or above are eligible to seek voluntary retirement under the scheme.

    In June, ONGC had sought private contractors for the 64 producing small fields, organised in 17 onshore contract areas and with a reserve of 300 million metric tonnes of oil equivalent, and is currently engaged in pre-bid talks. But some potential bidders feel that just a share in incremental revenue may not make these fields lucrative enough.

    Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation showed interest in the Sugia Closed Mine under the seventh tranche and, along with NMDC Ltd and Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation, it also aimed for the Tokisud North, a Schedule-II mine. All eight assets on offer in the seventh tranche are Schedule-I blocks.

    The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.60 per cent down at 15,461.37 around 10:56 am.

    Located in Kheda district of Gujarat, the project is owned by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL), a state-owned power generation company, an official statement said.
