On Monday, heavy rains triggered shooting of stones in Moumpassi, Digdole and Panthiyal areas, forcing suspension of the traffic, the official said. Snowfall in Kashmir side of the highway, including Jawahar Tunnel, since Sunday has resulted in blockade of the highway. "No fresh traffic was allowed from Nagrota in Jammu for Kashmir", he said.

Davinder Singh was arrested on Saturday along with Naveed alias Babu, another militant Rafi Rather and an alleged Over Ground Worker Irfan Dar, in a car on highway in Kulgam district, when they were on way to Jammu. J&K police currently interrogating Singh and Naveed are also investigating, whether they were on way to execute any big attack or not.
NIA takes over probe against Davinder Singh, Hizbul terrorists
An NIA spokesperson said that it has re-registered the case against Singh and the three terrorists, who were arrested along with arms and ammunition while travelling in a car. Earlier, a team of NIA officials, including an Inspector General rank official, reached Srinagar and collected all the information from police in Jammu and Srinagar.

Singh may have been on surveillance even on the day he received a delegation of foreign diplomats, including US ambassador. He was in charge of the anti-hijacking unit and cops monitoring Singh were apprehensive that he would transport the two militants to Jammu from Srinagar airport, where he could have easily bypassed security considering his position.

He said bomb disposal squad teams of the Army and police reached the spot and on their search, two tin boxes with wires out were found.
