    Sources claim that both parties can agree to contest the poll on 50-50 (equal number of) seats on the lines of the Lok Sabha elections. There are 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly. In the last Assembly elections, the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and the BJP contested separately, whereas before that in 2010, both the parties contested together.
