    The navy has reworked its plan of having 200 warships by 2027, in view of its fund crunch.     The Navy Chief said the first indigenous aircraft carrier (IAC) will be fully operational by 2022 and it will have a fleet of MiG-29K aircraft. He said the second IAC will be 65,000 ton CATOBAR aircraft carrier with electric propulsion and that Navy will shortly approach the government seeking approval for the project.

    The West Bengal govt is setting up a museum featuring the 'Albatross' and it is likely to be thrown open to the public by mid-2020, Commodore Suprobho De said. "A TU-142 aircraft has been handed over by the Navy to M/S Taneja Aerospace on November 15 for dismantling, transportation and reassembly towards setting up a TU museum at Kolkata," he said.

    Stocks of the airline carrier have been on a losing streak lately, falling over 18 per cent.

    Taiwan's defense ministry said the southbound Chinese fleet passed into the Taiwan Strait but stayed on China's side of the waterway that separates the island from China. The ministry said Taiwan scrambled ships and jets to monitor the fleet. U.S. and Japanese ships were also following the Chinese fleet, the ministry said without giving details.

    Airtel and Vodafone Idea hold the majority of these liabilities, which the DoT has sought through a process started last week. For Airtel, dues are around Rs 35,586 cr - Rs 21,682 cr as LF and Rs 13,904 cr as SUC excluding Tata Tele and Telenor - while for Voda Idea they amount to Rs 53,038 cr, of which Rs 28,309 cr in LF and Rs 24,730 cr in SUC.

    Hindalco Industries is betting big on the packaging and transport containers segment. The domestic packaging industry is a USD 35 billion and is growing at around 25 percent annually.

    The selloff-bound airline had on October 30 floated bids from banks/ financial institutions to refinance its existing bridge-loan facility worth $819 million or worth over Rs 5,800 crore by November 14. The financial bids were to scheduled to be closed on November 14. The carrier is seeking to refinance six Boeing 787s and one B777.
