Delhi air pollution at month’s lowest level
PM 10 level at 160 on Monday but the situation may worsen to ‘severe’ category in 2 days. The hazardous ultrafine — PM 2.5 — is forecast to go up to 134 on Wednesday. The level of PM 10 particles in the city in the early hours of Monday fell to 160, the lowest since October 18, while PM 2.5 particles fell to 87, about the same level four weeks ago.

Rains improve Delhi's air quality
The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi stood at 136 at 8.47 am which falls under the 'moderate' category. An AQI between 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'. An AQI above 500 falls in the 'severe plus' category.
What India can learn from other countries to beat air pollution
Faced with the hazard of deteriorating air composition, many countries like China have over the years adapted to technology and strategies to counter the crisis, including energy infrastructure optimisation, coal-fired pollution control, and emission controls.
