Trai defers implementation of new MNP rules indefinitely
TRAI said the earlier indicated timeline for the revised MNP process “cannot be adhered to due to some technical issues” at the telco and MNP service providers ends, which is why, “the implementation date needs to be postponed,” adding that the "exact data would be notified in due course”.

MNP fell to 4.1 million in October last year from 5.4 million in the previous month, and the MNP churn rate dipped to 0.3% from 0.5% in September.
