  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude towards the Election Commission for its efforts to make the electoral process more vibrant and participative, on the National Voters' Day. The Election Commission (EC) came into being on January 25, 1950, a day before India became a republic.

    There are around 30 seats where Purvanchal voters play an important role and, of these, 15 seats are dominated by them.
