Last Updated: May 18, 2020, 06.30 AM IST

1. Super top-up health insurance plans provide additional cover, typically over and above the basic hospitalisation policy.

2. The premium amount is cost effective due to threshold limits of the cover provided by the basic hospitalisation plan.

3. It provides cover over the threshold limit of the health insurance cover in multiple claims or multiple hospitalisations in the year.

4. Super top-up policy lapses when the entire cover is exhausted and not when you have used it once.

5. It is a great product to enhance the coverage of hospitalisation expenses.
