How to change your address on Aadhaar card online and offline
If you have recently relocated and are facing issues because your address is not updated on your Aadhaar, here's some help.
As per the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website, there are two ways to update or correct your address on your Aadhaar card:
1. You can update it online
2. Visit an enrolment centre
- Updating Online:
If you are using the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP), you can update your demographic details (name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile, and email).

Login using your Aadhaar number.
Submit your AADHAAR card address change request.
Scan and upload supporting self-attested proof of identity document for Aadhaar card address change.
Once your request is submitted, you will be given an Aadhaar card Update Request Number, which can be further used to track the status of your request.

- Visiting nearby enrolment centre for update:
You need to carry original documents for updation at enrolment centre. Original documents will be scanned and handed back to you after updation. You can visit any of the permanent enrolment centres for updation.
