As tweeted by the UIDAI, no documents are required for updating mobile number, email ID, photograph, biometrics, gender in Aadhaar. To update these details, you can visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) along with your Aadhaar card.

To avail faster services, you can also book an appointment at the ASK. There are seven steps to book appointment online from the UIDAI's website. Click here to know how to book the appointment.
However, to update details such as name, address and/or date of birth, then along with your Aadhaar card, you are required to take along valid documents submit them at an ASK centre.
You can use passport, PAN or any other document to correct the name in your Aadhaar card. Similarly, if you wish to update the address in Aadhaar card, you can use Voter ID, Driving license and so on, as well.

Remember updating these details from Aadhaar Seva Kendra will cost you. As per UIDAI circular dated April 22, updating these details will cost you Rs 50. The charges are inclusive of all the taxes.
